2009 Sysmex Christmas Party
For this last year's Sysmex Christmas Party, we decided not to stay in town, but to organise a mini-getaway in a small but charming village called Sucevita. Sucevita is home to the beautiful monastery of the same name which, since 1993, together with similar monuments in the area of Bucovina, was designated as part of the UNESCO Patrimony of "great monuments of the world".
The idea was not as much to visit the monasteries (we've all seen them before) but to enjoy the miracles of fresh air, Christmas carols sung by the camp fire, and even more singing and dancing in the Karaoke show.
On the way back, we stopped in the village of Tarpesti, at the house of popular artist Nicolae Popa, to learn more about our traditions and popular culture.
Naturally, after all this partying and visiting, we had to catch up on work - and this is why this report comes in so late. :)
Until next year, stay well and be successful!
