The RomSoft office, usually a place of routine and professionalism, took on an entirely different atmosphere on the chilly October 31st evening. It was the night of the annual Spooky Board Games Night, an event eagerly anticipated by many of our colleagues.
As the clock struck five, the office began to transform. The usually mundane playroom was filled with spider webs, vampire bats and ghostly silhouettes. This was now the epicenter of the evening’s festivities, with tables scattered with board games, and spicy Halloween themed snacks, each promising a night of thrills and chills.
The players had to choose among several games such as Activity, Azul, Carcassone, Catan, Darts, Dixit, Exploding Kittens, Go, Jenga, Mafia de Cuba, Code Name, Pazea 6, Sequence, Stone Age, and Uno.
After several exhausting rounds, pizza was served and with renewed strength, everybody engaged in two very competitive quiz rounds.
In between games, people enjoyed taking costumed photos in the photo corner and enjoyed snacks and drinks at the spooky buffet, reminding everyone that the night was as much about unwinding and fun as it was about competition.
As the night drew to a close, the playroom slowly returned to its usual state. The decorations were packed away, and the games were carefully stored for next month’s games night. Our teammates, though tired, left with smiles on their faces and stories to tell. The Spooky Board Games Night had succeeded in bringing everyone together, fostering a sense of community and creating memories that would be cherished at least until the next Halloween season.
In the end, it wasn’t just about the games or the costumes. It was about the shared experience, the laughter, and the thrill of a night where the ordinary became …well, less so. The office, for one night, had become a place of magic and mystery, reminding everyone that sometimes, the best way to scare away the daily routine is to let loose and have a little spooky fun.
