A while back, we started a series of health and wellbeing presentations in the company, that we are hoping will have a positive impact on our lifestyle. These discussions are powered through our collaboration with local health service provider, Arcadia, within their Training4Life program. Here are some key ways that we think these presentations can help:
- Increased Awareness: These presentations can educate our team members about various health issues, mental health, nutrition, exercise, and stress management. This increased awareness can lead to healthier lifestyle choices.
- Stress Reduction: Learning about stress management techniques can help employees handle work-related stress more effectively, leading to a more relaxed and productive work environment.
- Improved Mental Health: Presentations that address mental health topics can reduce stigma and encourage employees to seek help if needed. This can lead to a more supportive and understanding workplace culture.
- Enhanced Productivity: Healthier employees are often more productive. By promoting physical and mental wellbeing, companies can reduce absenteeism and presenteeism (when employees are at work but not fully functioning due to health issues).
- Better Work-Life Balance: Presentations can provide tips and strategies for maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which can improve overall job satisfaction and reduce burnout.
- Access to Resources: Our colleagues can learn about resources available to them, such as health screenings and counseling services, which they might not have been aware of otherwise.
In the framework of this health education program, we met on Wednesday, November 13th, for a conversation about The Universe of Endocrinology – from symptoms to specialist consultation.
Dr. Anamaria Hrisca – specialist in Endocrinology, addressed more topics in this area, among them:
- Identifying symptoms that require endocrinological evaluation and when is this evaluation indicated in the medical routine.
- Discovering the manifestations and long-term consequences of hypovitaminosis D, especially in the cold season.
- Understand the impact of chronic stress in pathologies closely related to chronic inflammation.
- Outline the significance of hormonal balance in women.
At the end of the meeting, we enjoyed a raffle with prizes that address well-being. We’re looking forward to more interesting and health benefiting conversations in the future.
