– What’s Keeping You from Becoming Your Best Self –
Our latest Community Talks meeting took us on an introspective journey, seeking to answer a few fundamental questions:
♥ Have you ever found yourself doing exactly what you promised you’d stop doing?
♥ Do you often end up in the same situations, despite your best efforts to avoid them?
♥ Have you strained your willpower to its limits, only to react in the very way you didn’t intend?
♥ Does it sometimes feel like there are two versions of you: one rational and realistic, knowing exactly what should be done, and the other reactive, unpredictable, and often causing chaos?
Our guide in this conversation was our old time friend Diana Teodorescu, one of our favorite psychotherapists in Iasi, who specializes in schema therapy for adults and teens.
We talked about basic emotional needs, schemas, coping styles, modes, and so much more, on our quest to better understand ourselves and (hopefully) becoming healthy adults. Our meetings with Diana are always eye-opening and fun, sparking our curiosity and desire to work on ourselves, in order to live our best life.

What is Community Talks
After three years of remote work, we feel the need to, once in a while, get together and learn about inspiring stories from our line of work or from our community that are relevant to us.
With this idea in mind, we created a program called Community Talks. It is part of our larger discussion about tech storytelling and how to have better conversations in our everyday work.
Once a month, we want to invite somebody from outside RomSoft to share with us an inspiring story, or just to have an interesting conversation, be it in the technical area or anything else that we have a shared interest in.
Our guests will play the role of the Guide to any good story, helping us navigate through difficult challenges, acquire new skills, and understand where the opportunities lie in this rapidly changing world.
